Personally I like to be extremely aggressive heads up if I have a chip lead, if I can put pressure on them to either risk it all or fold and give me their blinds on a lot of the hands, they will be forced onto the defensive, and most imporantly, will often retreat into waiting for a good hand to play, which means they do not contest many of the hands when I am on the big blind. It is possible to stretch a lead in chips after only a few hands doing this, and if they decide to come out and fight fire with fire and call with a weaker hand, then so be it, you will often have a pot that could go either way which isn’t all bad if I already have a half decent chip lead. www.888poker.com

Most of the time I feel exerting pressure heads up is a good way forward, after all, if you sit back and wait for a big hand when the blinds are huge and you don’t find one for ten hands, you are in big trouble, so my advice would be to make careful reads but be aggressive preflop even with hands which aren’t exactly premium.
